Google's free online documents and spreadsheets program makes destination wedding planning a breeze. Google offers free spreadsheets and templates called "Wedding Planner" that help you keep track of your guest list, budget and ever-evolving to-do list. Plus, tips and advice to help keep you on track.

The best part, using Google Docs means you can access your files whenever you want from any computer connected to the Internet, and even from certain smart phones. Google Docs also allows you to invite any other family members who are helping you plan the wedding to collaborate (so mom and dad never have to feel left out of the loop).

A Wedding Website

Creating a wedding website is a must for any destination bound wedding couple. There are dozens of sites out there to create one that suits your needs. Our picks for ease of use, endless options, and cost effectiveness (read: FREE) are offered by The Knot, the Wedding Channel, or Wedding Wire.

Simple Seating

Simpleseating.com is a great solution for organizing your seating plan. You can create, preview, and print seating charts in just a few simple steps. Best of all it can easily be accessed by key contributors (ahem, your mom and mother-in-law) for approval. Oh, and if two of your family members get caught in a last minute feud simply swap where they're sitting with just a click.

Evernote

Looking for an easy and super chic solution to keep track of all the lovelies you come across while planning? Evernote has you covered. The process is super easy, and you never have to leave the site your on. Simply click the Evernote icon in your toolbar and it keeps everything in an easily accessible location. You can even take pictures with your mobile phone and store it in Evernote and include a quick note about what inspired you at the time.  If you come up with an idea off the cuff, you can also record a voice note to your notebook, as well. It's like a beautifully designed, digital trapper keeper!

Google Maps

Scouting trips can get expensive but Google Maps has an affordable solution. To explore a destination simply type in the location, choose street view, and begin to stroll around town. Check out what it looks like as you pull up to the hotel. Check out the beach and the surrounding area. While Google maps won't get you inside any specific venues it is an easy and free way to get a quick feel for a place.
