Trash the Dress

What?! Trash my wedding dress you say? I think not!

Okay we expected that reaction but despite its name a Trash the Dress session is not about destruction but rather creation say Trash the Dress loving photographer John Michael Cooper (he happens to be who coined the term), and we tend to agree.

Destination wedding photography, destination wedding dressesTrash the Dress photo sessions have become increasingly popular with brides who want to add something unique to their wedding albums. The session is taken after the big day is complete allowing brides and grooms to embrace their newly wedded bliss in a different way. Brides get dolled up in their gown once again for a chance to see its beauty in an environment that is completely out of place. For some that means getting dirty (jungle anyone), for others it's about splashing seaside, and for a few it might even mean getting hot, really hot...yes, we mean burning hot!

We understand that its not easy to think about even moderately destroying the beautiful, pain staking decision making, mucho money spent wedding dress you picked out for your big day but if you can look at it through the lens of TTD loving photographers like John Michael Cooper you might just walk away with a memory that is far more meaningful than the one that you'd be left with if the dress went into a box for eternity.
