I came across this picture from the Michael Kors Fall 2010 Collection and was planning on doing a Fashioning Weddings piece with it. I started pulling pictures and found so many great images I decided to use it for an inspiration board instead.
These colors instantly make me think of fall, apple picking, cozying up to a fire and making smores, leaves changing colors, I can just about smell it in the air. It’s so close and I can’t wait!

Sorry, a little tardy for the party today with my post. I think this color combo makes for a nice fall scheme without being so “fall-y,” (no red, orange etc). Plus both colors are making big statements in fall fashions, so it was easy to get inspired!

As promised, here is a good transitional/ fall color theme. I really haven’t seen much of these colors together but I was flipping through the current issue of Brides (post inspiration board making) and they happened to highlight it, so maybe it will start popping up more.

When I think of pink and green together I immediatley think of Lily Pulitzer, which, depending on who you are, could be a good or not so good thing. But, when I came across wine popsicles, my heart melted a little, and I can not lie, I was inspired to build a color story around a popsicle. They do say everything tastes bettter on a stick right?

My favorite thing for today is that I am going to see Eat Pray Love this afternoon with some girlfriends. Ok, I admit, I may have a little crush on Julia Roberts, I mean we are from the same state (GA!) which pratically makes us fake cousins. Plus, I know the scenery in this movie is going to be oh so trip inspiring. I too spent a bit of time in Rome, Italy, yet somehow missed traveling to India and Bali afterward to work off the pasta and pizza. Maybe next time. I found this inspiration board at Wedding Nouveau and I think it is perfectly done. I love the color scheme, and I love it as the start to another much needed weekend!

I have been seeing a lot of interest in using black and white for a summer wedding in the wedding blogosphere. Brides seem hesitant to use it during warmer months because they feel it looks heavy. Fear not, black and white can be appropriate all year round. For spring or summer just pop a bright color with it like green, yellow, or pink!
