Color Theme of The Week – Rustic Red, Brown & Camel

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 by admin

I came across this picture from the Michael Kors Fall 2010 Collection and was planning on doing a Fashioning Weddings piece with it. I started pulling pictures and found so many great images I decided to use it for an inspiration board instead.

These colors instantly make me think of fall, apple picking, cozying up to a fire and making smores, leaves changing colors, I can just about smell it in the air. It’s so close and I can’t wait!

{Friday Faves} Down In The Trenches

Friday, June 11th, 2010 by admin

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. It rained the morning I got married (everything was slated to be outside) and I was told this little wives tale. Immediately, I decided whoever made that up clearly didn’t have a sunny day for their nuptials, and probably wanted to make themselves feel better about the situation. Recently, it has been raining a lot. I happen to love summer rainstorms, but despite the fact that it’s 85 degrees outside, a good trench coat is always great to have on hand.

{Friday Faves} Watch Out

Friday, June 4th, 2010 by admin

One upon a time, actually almost a year ago, my watch went in for a new battery. As the story goes it was fixed and shipped back to me, but sadly it never arrived. I have gotten over the fact that particular watch is donezo, and now I am searching for one that stops time by it’s allure.

Time stopped for this one, and then it started again when I saw the price.

Cartier wedding watches, destination wedding

Cartier Chronoscaph Watch, $4350 which is way too nice for me, but it sure is pretty.

Now for the more reasonable/ likely options

Destination wedding watches

Michael Kors Stainless Steel Chronograph Watch, $225Michele Sport Sail Large White Bracelet, $645

I may be prematurely aging myself here, but I so remember these watches. I wanted one so badly in grade school, and then they were banned so no one could cheat on math tests. It’s another eighties revival, which reaffirms my belief that everything from that decade should have been left there.

Destination Wedding Watches

Casio Stainless Steel Databank Watch, $130(!?)

Growing up in the south I appreciate the preppy-ness of this bad boy. Plus I have a hard time passing up anything blue.

Decisions, decisions. Have a great weekend!

Clearly Cool Accessories

Thursday, April 15th, 2010 by admin

Spring fashions are all over the place this year from tribal to tye-dye and a denim sandwich or two in between. Wanna know what works with EVERYTHING…clear accessories! They are everywhere and in a tremendous range of prices(yay!). Plus, how great would this little “Love” clutch be for a bride? I know the price tag is seriously steep, but I am on the hunt for less expensive options. Check back next Friday (preferably before then too) for some fab clutches in my Friday faves post!
